Gwolde and Joao “Naza114” Vieira Win Big at The PokerStars Big Blowout Events

The Dutch, Gwolde, triumphed over eight other poker players on Wednesday, January 12 at the Blowout Series: $530 NLHE – The Big Blowout. He became the biggest winner in the tournament so far, with total winnings of $721,692 at the final table after a heads-up deal.

He becomes the second Dutchman to win The Big Blowout in three events. Pilaa was the first, with a payday of $381,174 at the Blowout Series: $109 NLHE – The Big Blowout, two weeks ago.

PokerStars inaugural Blowout Series has been successful so far, with a guaranteed prize pool of $60 million across 88 events involving the usual PokerStars Low, Medium, and High tiers categories.

Last week had Portugal’s Joao “Naza114” Vieira and Sami “Lrslzk” Kelopuro ship High Roller events. Niklas “Lena900” Astedt won two Blowout Series events, making him the second player to achieve this feat in the festival.

Gwolde reigned victorious over Escapemission in a heads-up deal, securing the second Big Blowout title for the Netherlands, after about four hours of playtime on the third day of the PokerStars Blowout Series: $530 NLHE {8-Max, The Big Blowout].

The prize pool set for the tournament was $5 million but was surpassed by the massive entry field of 12,938. The prize pool became $6,469,000 and saw the Dutch player lay claim to a $721,692 payout.

Gwolde has had some achievements to his name, as he is no stranger to winning on PokerStars tables. He has won the Sunday Kickoff, and he also won the Event 20-M $109 NLHE Deep Stack Freezeout tournament on January 3, winning prize money of $35,856.

Joao “Naza114” Wins the PokerStars Blowout Series 36-H: $5,200 NLHE [6-Max, High Roller]

The PokerStars Blowout Series 36-H: $5,200 NLHE [6-Max, High Roller] table saw Joao “Naza114” Vieira emerge as the winner, with total winnings of $123,068. The Portuguese defeated the online poker legend Niklas “lena900” Astedt, who had a payout of $94,486.

Despite missing out on a Blowout Series title at the Blowout Series 36-H: $5,200 NLHE [6-Max, High Roller] event, he was able to snatch a title at the Blowout Series 39-H: $530 NLHE [8-Max, Freezeout] event this week, with a payout of $44,314. He became the second player to win two Blowout Series titles.

Timothy “Tim0thee” Adams, Mark “AcesSpades 11” Radoja, and Bert “girfganger” Stevens became the first three players to exit the final table. The Russian “GangstaZab” and Bulgarian “milennial” both finished in fourth and third position respectively.
