KO Series Christmas Opener Chip Leaders

Partypoker launched a new KO Series just before the Christmas season that will span through to the New Year. There are 23 events in this series, which started on December 25 and will go on till January 19. The unique feature about the series is that it accommodates both low and high rollers. All events in the series have a mini and micro version.

The head of poker room management, Chris Donnachie, said that this year’s series will focus more on quality than quantity. In a statement, he said, “This time around, we wanted to focus less on volume and even more in quality, hence, why the number of key events has reduced significantly compared to past editions.”

The tournament will follow a progressive knockout format (PKO), having a winner secure half of the eliminated player’s bounty, with the other half adding to the winner’s bounty. It is a fun twist to a typical bounty tournament and is more popular with recreational players.

Highlights of the KO Series

As earlier stated, the series is open to all types of players, with buy-ins ranging from $2 to $2,100. Most of the high roller events all come with mini and micro versions that have smaller buy-ins. The $215 high buy-in features a $250,000 guarantee with mini and micro-events of $2.20 and $22 buy-ins respectively.
